The IceJax II is a snow guard device with exterior struts that strengthen it and support its distinctive interchangeable sides. The IceJax II provides stronger effects at a more affordable price point than the SnoJax II, which is a similar snow guard. Please take note that placing in isolated locations such chimneys, doors, vents, and partial roof sections is not advised.
This patented design has distinctive interchangeable sides that can be installed with adhesive or mechanical fasteners. Use the unit with the flat side down on a minimum of 5" of flat surface, or simply flip it over to straddle a minor rib on a 12" R-Panel (not suggested for 9" R-Panels). On both sides, starter points are provided for mechanical fastening with self-drilling screws. The Icejax II held an astounding 6388 pounds when screw mounted and an astounding 1561 pounds when adhered with Surebond SB-190, according to professional ATI test results. All tests were run under conditions that replicated actual snow loading on the guard's face.
